As teams scramble to trim their rosters down ahead of the commencement of the NBA regular season, the Washington Wizards did just that via a trade.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards have traded Jodie Meeks, cash and a second-round pick to the Milwaukee Bucks.

As Wojnarowski pointed out, the Bucks are intent on waiving Jodie Meeks once the trade officially goes through. According to the team’s Twitter account, they also plan on waiving backup point guard Tim Frazier.
The Bucks have requested waivers on Tim Frazier.
Signed to a free agent contract on Sept. 22, Frazier appeared in four preseason games and averaged 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.

Though Jodie Meeks is a capable spark plug off the bench and a gifted three-point shooter, he struggled to create a niche for himself on Washington’s improving bench unit. Meeks joined the Wizards last summer and appeared in 77 games for the club during this most recent season. Meeks averaged 6.3 points in under 15 minutes of playing time per game.
