With the NBA playoffs now just mere weeks away, teams qualifying for the postseason will look to many any possible alteration that improves their chances at a run. Currently the sixth seed in the East, the Milwaukee Bucks are a team who could end up surprising some people, and they hope their latest roster move can help them do that.
After being bought out by the Minnesota Timberwolves, forward Shabazz Muhammad has reportedly agreed to join the Bucks once he clears waivers according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania:

Muhammad had been having a disappointing season with very limited minutes under new head coach Tom Thibodeau. Muhammad was a free agent this past summer but opted to stay put in Minnesota which is likely a decision he now regrets.
In order to clear the requisite roster space to bring in Shabazz Muhammad, the Bucks will waive guard Sean Kilpatrick according to the team’s official Twitter account:

Kilpatrick appeared in 23 games for the Bucks this season, averaging less than five points per game in nine minutes of playing time. On the season, Muhammad has averaged fewer points per game in similar playing time.
While these two recent transactions won’t necessarily move the needle for Milwaukee, Shabazz Muhammad could provide them with another bench option or purely serve as injury insurance.
