The Milwaukee Bucks have been quiet this offseason. Despite reported interest in several transactions, they have stayed pat.
That may change soon, however, as the team is “actively” shopping both Greg Monroe and John Henson, according to Gery Woelfel.
Both Monroe and Henson have been the subject of trade rumors before. Monroe spent much of the early parts of last season on the trading block before showing a much-improved game that was immensely valuable for the playoff team.
Henson was the reported subject of trade rumors earlier this summer as the team seemingly searched for ways to clear cap space for Derrick Rose. The point guard signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week.
Monroe averaged 11.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in 81 games off the bench while also showcasing improved defense. Henson averaged 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
It’s unclear what the Bucks are searching for in a trade of either of the two big men. They could perhaps be used as salary ballast in order to take on a prominent target like Kyrie Irving or they could be traded into cap space in order to clear room for free agent signings.
As the market dries up, it’s unclear who the Bucks are searching for as an addition to their squad.
