When Utah Jazz center Enes Kanter came out and said he wanted to be traded away from the team due to a log jam with the big men in Utah, it seems the team has been happy to comply and move him, if the right team offered the proper deal.
It seems like a team might be interested in making the move to bring in the former 3rd overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. A playoff team looking to make a move to improve their squad, the Milwaukee Bucks.
From Sam Amick and Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today.
The Milwaukee Bucks are known to be among the teams that have interest, in part because coach Jason Kidd has had a front-row seat to some of Kanter’s best games in the past two seasons.
Bucks have survived this season and find themselves in a good position in the Eastern Conference standings at the 5 seed and over .500, already eclipsing their win total from last year. They’ve done it without the services of the 2nd overall pick in the 2014 draft, Jabari Parker, as well as their big money big man, Larry Sanders, who has missed about half the season due to a multitude of issues culminating with his recent suspension and possible buyout from the team.
Insert Kanter. A tenacious player who has an under the radar mean streak. He can rebound and score inside, something the Bucks could definetely improve in.
The issue is, do the Bucks want to get rid of some prospects and some picks to get Kanter? It’s all about if they want to win now or prepare themselves for the future.
