The Tampa Bay Bucs made a big splash earlier inking speedy wide out DeSean Jackson to a deal. Now they will add a formidable presence to the defensive line in the form of Chris Baker. Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reported the news on Baker.
Tampa Bay not done plucking from Washington. Barring any snags, Bucs are closing in on a deal to sign DL Chris Baker. @gmfb @NFLonFOX

Baker has racked up 10.5 sacks the past 2 seasons for the Redskins. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 18th best interior defensive lineman in 2016. He will now team up with Gerald McCoy to give the Bucs a scary defensive tackle duo. Robert Ayers and Noah Spence will round out the rest of the defensive line.
Baker, 29, is a former undrafted free agent from Hampton back in 2009. He has spent the last 6 seasons with Washington after playing with Denver as a rookie and Miami in his 2nd NFL campaign.
