Light heavyweight contender Joshua Buatsi will return to the ring on October 21, 2023 at The O2 in London, United Kingdom. This time around, he will go toe-to-toe with fellow unbeaten light heavyweight contender Dan Azeez. The winner of the highly-anticipated bout will become the mandatory challenger for the World Boxing Association Light Heavyweight Title held by Dmitry Bivol.
Buatsi enters the October bout with a perfect record of 17-0 with 13 knockouts. Last time out, he picked up a 10-round decision win against Pawel Stepian at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England. Five months later, he’ll return to the ring with an opportunity to fight for a world title on the line. To get the opportunity of a lifetime, he’ll have to take out one of his friends, Dan Azeez.
Dan Azeez is a 33-year-old contender with a perfect record of 20-0 with 13 knockouts. This year, he’s beaten Thomas Faure by TKO and Khalid Graidia on points. Now, he’ll return to the U.K. for his first fight at The O2 since 2019.
