It has been nearly five years since Bruno Mars dropped 24K Magic. With contributions from Babyface, James Fauntleroy, Cardi B and several others, the project went three times platinum and dominated the chart. It also won seven Grammy Awards. In 2021, Bruno Mars is set to make his official return.
For his return, Bruno Mars has linked up with Anderson .Paak for a joint effort. On February 25, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak announced that they would be releasing a joint album under a new moniker, Silk Sonic. For their new effort, the two will look to Bootsy Collins to host the album.
“We locked in and made an album. The band’s called Silk Sonic,” Bruno Mars tweeted.
It is unclear when the full-length album will arrive or who will be on it. However, we do know that the first single will arrive on March 5.
