Mike Tyson won’t be the only Brooklyn native to enter the ring on Friday, November 15 in Arlington, Texas.
Featherweight contender Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington will reportedly fight Dana Coolwell in an eight-round bout at AT&T Stadium in November. Carrington, a native of Brownsville, Brooklyn, will enter the ring with a record of 13-0 with nine knockouts. He last fought in September, earning a majority decision against Sulaiman Segawa. Meanwhile, Dana Coolwell heads to the United States for the first time. The 25-year-old from Queensland, Australia has a record of 13-2 and is riding a six-fight win streak.
Carrington’s fellow Brooklynite, Tyson, will also enter the ring at AT&T Stadium in November. The former heavyweight champion is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round bout. The 58-year-old has not fought professionally since 2005 and lost three of his last four fights. However, Paul is on a four-fight winning streak, including two wins already this year.
The Paul-Tyson main event will be supported by a rematch between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor. Serrano and Taylor fought in April 2022 with Taylor getting a split decision nod from the judges. Since then, Serrano has won five consecutive fights while Taylor has gone 2-1 in her last three fights, including suffering the first loss of her professional career against Chantelle Cameron.
