The Brooklyn Nets announced that Sergey Karasev will be out for the remainder of the season with a dislocated patella and a torn mcl. According to the Nets’ Press Release:
“Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Sergey Karasev has been diagnosed with a dislocated patella and a torn MCL of the right knee, along with multiple loose bodies in the knee joint, General Manager Billy King announced. The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of last night’s game versus New Orleans. Karasev will undergo surgery tomorrow, March 12th, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan and will be out for the remainder of the season.”
The Brooklyn Nets have lost 5 straight games and are sitting in the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference. There playoff hopes are slipping away. Although Karasev didn’t play much, he did start for a couple games this season, and the Brooklyn Nets were looking ANYWHERE for hope of a win. Nothing looks too good in Brooklyn.
