According to the sources of Marc Stein, the Brooklyn Nets could try to trade Mason Plumlee even though the market seems to have closed. Plumlee exceeded all expectations last season and the Nets could have moved him to multiple different teams, but he instead remained in Brooklyn where he hit a plateau.
The Nets are about to enter a very tough offseason where a lot of pieces will be moved, and a lot of tough decisions will be made. With a lot of contracts not in their favor, it would not make much sense to get rid of a guy who is still on a rookie contract, but a departure may have to be made to make room for other players.
The Nets will for sure have one of the busiest offseasons in the league, but a lot of those moves may be unfavorable to them. Trading Mason Plumlee may have to be done to make other more favorable moves possible.
