The news Nets fans don’t want to hear, Brook Lopez will miss the teams next four games due to a lower back strain.
Lopez, who struggled early in the season has finally looked like the all-star big man he’s capable of being averaging 16.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and almost two blocks a game.
Lopez, after never missing a game in his first three seasons, has had an injury history of late, playing in only five games in 2011-2012 and in only 15 last season.
Nets trainer Tim Walsh says is wasn’t sure how Lopez got injured and will undergo an MRI this week.
With Lopez being out, expect the Nets to move Kevin Garnett to the middle and insert Mirza Teletovic into the starting line up.
