Longtime New York Jets offensive tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson elected to retire recently after playing 10 seasons in the NFL and only missing one snap in his career. It was reported that the Jets asked the Pro Bowl lineman to take a paycut and that could have been the reason for him stepping aside.
With the free agency market all but dried up, the Jets had to make a move for an offensive tackle, despite not having a quarterback yet either. They made a deal today to bring in Pro Bowl and Super Bowl tackle, Ryan Clady.
Following from Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Denver has agreed to trade four-time Pro-Bowl OT Ryan Clady and a 7th-round pick to the Jets for a 5th-round pick, league sources told ESPN.

Yes, technically Clady is a Super Bowl champion but he didn’t play one snap in the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in preseason OTA’s. This trade might come as a shock to some but the Broncos made it all the way to the Super Bowl without Clady’s services so trading him away and getting something in return actually makes this deal a win for both sides.
