The only man to ever win a NCAA Championship, UFC Championship and WWE championship has announced he will be stepping away from the octagon and he will return to the squared circle of the WWE.
The reigning, defending, WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar, makes this announcement just a few short days before Wrestlemania 31 this weekend in the new Levi’s stadium in San Fransisco.
It was made official on ESPN in an interview with Michelle Beadle and on the WWE’s twitter account.

Yea, ok sure. Wrestling is ‘fake’, we get it. Still, a ton of people watch it and enjoy it so yea, it is news. Not only do a lot of people watch the WWE product, the also watch the MMA product. The juggernaut in the MMA, the UFC, was home to Brock for a short period of time after his stint with the WWE and even shorter stint with the NFL.
He is the the biggest name that everyone knows from the WWE so this move, right before Wrestlemania is significant and well-timed. Lesnar’s historic career in WWE continues as well as his much talked about ‘light’ workload and easy schedule played a heavy part in Lesnar’s decision. The WWE inks up Lesnar on multi-year deal as well, according to WWE CEO, Paul Levesque aka ‘The Game’, Triple H.
.@BrockLesnar is a global attraction. Happy to have him re-sign a multi-year contract with @WWE. @espn @MichelleDBeadle

This Sunday he is in the main event for Wrestlemania 31 facing off with the number 1 contender and winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns. The match just added a new dimension as the fans won’t be getting a farewell match, much like he had with ‘Goldberg’ the first time he left the WWE and they WWE also won’t face an issue similar to what they had with C.M. Punk, where the champion won the belt and then left the company with the title.
Wrestlemania 31 just added a whole new on the grandest stage of them all. You can watch Wrestlemania 31 for just $9.99 on the WWE Network.
