Rick Pitino has also lost his job because of this incident involving Bowen. Pitino is alleged by Adidas to have arranged the payment to secure the services of Bowen to commit to his school. Bowen was the last five-star recruit to commit to a school in the class of 2017. Bowen committed in early June at which point Pitino called it a “surprise” signing.
