The Philadelphia process continues even though Sam Hinkie continues his attempts to sabotage the team at every chance he gets. Joel Embiid is working out, practicing and continuing to rehab from injury. From all the Vines of Joel Embiid dunking it’s safe to say that he should be all good and ready to play in the NBA Summer League. Philly head coach Brett Brown. Has been there every step of the way, assessing Embiid and according to Philly.com, he expects the big man to report to Summer League.
“Personally, I expect him to play in the summer league,” Brown said. “But if I guessed any of this wrong, I want to make sure that the club is on record not being definitive. We are not in the position to say that now.”
“I just feel like it’s too definitive if we come out and say he’s definitely playing now,” he explain on Friday. “It’s not so much any trepidation I have to 100 percent declare it. I don’t feel like it’s responsible to say that now. He’s heading in that direction.“
Now it’s very clear that the Sixers organization don’t want to show their hand when it comes to Embiid. But Brown personally feels like he’ll be good to go. And I agree. From what I’ve seen Embiid looks good. And we’ve got a long time between now and summer basketball. So I’m confident he’ll be good.
