The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back more of their own guys for next year. CB Brent Grimes has agreed to a 1-year deal with the Bucs as reported by Sports Illustrated Mike Sivir
Sivir tweeted that the deal is worth up to $10 million but had no exact numbers on incentives or signing bonus yet. The team made it clear they wanted Grimes back as echoed by GM Jason Licht at the NFL Combine. Grimes has been with the team for the last two seasons and apparently wanted more.
The veteran started 29 games over the last two years and just came off a decent year. Grimes tied for most interceptions for the Bucs last year with three. During his time in Tampa Bay, he has seven with 35 passes defended.
This will be Grimes 12th NFL season and the age of 34 it will be interesting to see how Grimes plays out this year into free agency yet again.
