BREAKING: T’Wolves Looking To Trade For Kevin Garnett Before Trade Deadline
Kevin Garnett could be next in line for a homecoming.
With the trade deadline approaching for Thursday evening, it looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to bring Garnett back to Minnesota to finish his career, per ESPN’s Marc Stein:
ESPN sources say Wolves and Nets have discussed deal to send Thad Young to Brooklyn in exchange for KG … who of course has no-trade clause

As we know well, Kevin Garnett started his prolific career in Minnesota when they drafted him 5th overall in 1995. Garnett played there for 12 seasons before being traded to the Boston Celtics in 2007, where he’d win his first and only NBA title.
The nostalgia of this is overwhelming. Garnett has shown interest in potentially buying the Timberwolves franchise, and maybe trying to humbly finish his career there could be a catalyst in making that a reality.
From the Associated Press’ Jon Krawczynski on Garnett:
KG has all the power here. He has a no-trade and he’s notoriously resistant to change. Ball is in his court.
