The Orlando Magic have fired head coach Jacque Vaughn.
Magic are 15-37 this season and are in the middle of a season-high 10 game losing streak. Oddly enough, Vaughn’s team was defeated last night by the team that gave him his Assistant Coaching start, the San Antonio Spurs who beat Orlando 110-103.

It was previously reported that Vaughn was on the hot seat last week and now the hot seat has burned Vaughn.
In 3 seasons as the Head coach of the Orlando Magic Vaughn has gone 20-62, 23-59 and 15-37 respectively, 58-158 in the post-Dwight Howard/Stan Van Gundy era. His 26.8 win percentage is the lowest among coaches who coached at least 100 games.
With Scott Skiles now emerging as the lead candidate to replace Vaughn long term. He spent about half his playing career and all his best seasons in Orlando, and he has plenty of head-coaching experience. He last coached two seasons ago and has led the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks to the playoffs with a career record of 443-433.
The Magic might need to get into playoff contention after two, going on three, years missing out on the postseason. If they do miss the playoffs this year as expected, it would match their playoff postseason drought since Shaquille O’Neal started his career in Orlando.
