Kevin Durant recently has been suffering from soreness in his right foot, the same foot that made him miss months of NBA action. Now according to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Yahoo’s Marc J. Spears Kevin Durant’s status for the season will be determined next week.
The Thunder say Kevin Durant has soreness in his right foot and will be re-evaluated in a week to determine his return this season.

He recently received treatment and underwent a “procedure” to help reduce pain in his right foot and reduce the soreness, according to Thunder GM Sam Presti.
Presti Said:
“There’s no new injury that’s been created,” Presti said. “It’s just a matter of discomfort.”
As an Oklahoma City fan, and a fan of Kevin Durant, this scares me. The MVP of the league has already missed a total of 3 months with a right foot injury. He then missed some time because his right toe was sore and now his right foot is sore. The fact that this soreness is obviously something more because his entire season status will be determined in a week, is very depressing and scary for the OKC fans out there. Without Durant they miss the MVP of the league and a leading scorer and let’s be honest the second best player in the NBA. The funny thing is, even if Durant does get injured, the Thunder won’t struggle as much as they did before. They have some serious bench depth now with Jeromy Lamb, Kyle Singler, and Andre Roberson all available wing players. If Russell Westbrook can maintain his health, and Enes Kanter and Ibaka step it up, the Thunder can still seriously become a force to reckon with.
