Carmelo Anthony is returning home to play for the New York Knicks. According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets were told to “Move On” so Melo and the Knicks can negotiate. The Knicks made Anthony a $129 million offer over five years, one year more and $34 million more than any other team could offer. The star forward drew interest from teams around the league. The shortlist at the end included the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers following a cross-country trip to meet with team execs that also featured the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets.
Frank Isola of the New York Daily News put it very simply in a tweet.
