Paul has an NBA body as he’s 6-foot-4 and weighs 200-pounds. Before his overseas career, Paul played at Illinois for four years and became a better scorer each season. His senior year he averaged 16.6ppg.
Last season, Paul played for Anadolu Efes Istanbul where he averaged 8.6ppg and shot 42-percent from three-point range. Paul also played in the Orlando and Las Vegas Summer League this season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 15.42ppg and shot 39-percent from deep across both competitions. He is known for his ability to get hot in a hurry.
Paul’s deal with the Spurs is a guaranteed one, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. This is unlike the deal Paul signed with the Sixers last summer which was a multiyear deal that wasn’t guaranteed and led to him being waived three months after signing the deal.
