The Phoenix Suns have had 4 quality point guards on their roster over the past year. They started last season with 3: Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, and Goran Dragic. Dragic(Heat) and Thomas(Celtics) were moved, but Bledsoe remained, and Phoenix brought in another point guard for good measure: Brandon Knight. Brandon Knight was phenomenal in Milwaukee last season, and at just 23-years old, could be Phoenix’s point guard of the future. So, the Suns want to keep him around.
From Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski:
Phoenix has agreed to a five-year, $70 million extension with guard Brandon Knight, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Now that the Suns have given a large chunk of money to Brandon Knight, they were expected to move Eric Bledsoe, possibly to the Sacramento Kings. However, it appears that the Suns no longer have plans to trade Bledsoe.
Told strongly that Suns will not be trading Eric Bledsoe in wake of Brandon Knight deal. FWIW.

I guess Phoenix wants to stick with their two point guard lineup. They went with it all last season, and it went… okay, I guess. They were 4 games under .500 in the tough West, so it definitely could have been worse. However, they missed the playoffs. We’ll just have to wait and see how Bledsoe and Knight mesh together in the backcourt.
