
Point guard Brandon Jennings, who was waived by the New York Knicks on Monday, has a verbal agreement to sign a deal with the Washington Wizards, reports ESPN’s Chris Haynes:

Jennings can’t actually sign with any team until he clears waivers at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Jennings will fly to nation’s capitol to sign the deal:

The Wizards will have to waive a player before they sign a new one:
Washington must release a player to clear roster spot for Jennings, which is likely to happen after Wizards-Raptors game on Wednesday night.
