Brandon Jennings is only 25 believe it or not. But when a guy gets an achilles injury, we tend to add 10 years onto the player. Simply because when achilles injuries come around, it tends to come back sooner or later.
So when Brandon Jennings talks about being the 6th Man of the Detroit Pistons, I find it weird. I mean the boy is supposed to be in his prime and he’s talking about taking a reduced role?
“Bringing in Reggie Jackson was smart. I’m supposed to be out, really, for nine months, and they need a point guard.
“My main thing is just to get healthy. Hey, if I have to come off the bench and be the sixth man or whatever, I’m fine with that. Man, I just want to play basketball again. I just want to get back on the court and have fun.”
Alright, maybe he’s just trying to be a good teammate, not hindering the team because of his health concerns. But we all know Jennings is better than Jackson right? As soon as Brandon gets 100%, he better be starting or getting starter minutes.
