A report recently came out that Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings comeback wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. The report from NBA.com’s David Aldridge was that he was ‘not close’ to being cleared for basketball activities.
Now it appears that has taken a dramatic turn in the right direction for Pistons fans and Jennings, who is recovering from an achilles injury.

It’s weird to see such vastly different reports from two accredited reporters. Both Aldridge and Goodwill must have talked to different people and someone has to be right. Let’s hope for Jennings and the Pistons future, Goodwill is right.
Jennings being cleared right before training camp starts makes this a great scenario for the Pistons going into the season. They can begin to acclimate him with the team and figure out what role he’ll play on the team going forward with Reggie Jackson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as the presumed starting backcourt.
Jennings could make a run when he returns as one of, if not the best, sixth man in the NBA for a Pistons team that once was lacking firepower. As Detroit looks to make a run to the playoffs this season you can expect that a healthy Brandon Jennings will be one of the biggest pieces contributing to their rejuvenated run to the postseason.
