Brandan Wright Will Be Traded To Phoenix For First-Round Pick
It was reported earlier that the Celtics made Brandan Wright aware that he was on the trading block. In a quick turnaround it looks like they decided on a suitor.
Wright was sent to the Boston Celtics from Dallas as part of the Rajon Rondo trade. Now he’s on the move again, to the Phoenix Suns, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports:
Phoenix is sending Boston a future draft pick for Brandan Wright, absorbing Wright into an exception, league source tells Yahoo.

The Suns have a first-round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves and it is top-12 protected for the next two seasons. Boston is looking to keep stockpiling their draft picks and potential future assets, and Phoenix can land an ideal rim running, roll-and-finish big man in Brandan Wright, who led the league in field goal percentage for the first portion of the season.
