Brandan Wright is a talented young big man, whose services many teams around the league covet. He has shot the ball with extreme efficiency throughout his career. His field goal percentage is an impressive 60.6% for his career.
He will sign with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
Free agent forward Brandan Wright has agreed to a three-year, nearly $18M deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Wright was traded twice last season, first from the Mavericks to the Celtics, and then almost immediately from the Celtics to the Suns.
Wright has heaps of potential, but has yet to get his big break. He’s been in the NBA for 7 seasons, but has never averaged more than 21.5 minutes per game with a team(that was in 40 games with the Suns last season).
However, Wright has all the tools to be a starter in the league. He’s 6’10”, has an insane 7-foot-4 wingspan, and a 36-inch vertical. Plus, he’s still relatively young at 27 years old. Wright could stand to put on some weight though; he weighs in at just 210 pounds — pretty light for a guy his height.
I’m not sure if he’ll get many more minutes in Memphis. After all, he’ll have to play behind All-Star center Marc Gasol. Nonetheless, Wright sounds enthusiastic about the move to Memphis. From Wojnarowski:
Wright loved the idea of returning to Tennessee, and understands he could be a significant part of getting Memphis over the top in the West.

As Wojnarowski pointed out, Wright will be coming home to Tennessee; he was born in Nashville. Wright leaving Phoenix could have something to do with the fact that the team just signed a center, Tyson Chandler. Getting Wright’s salary off the roster will clear up some cap space, which could help the team sign LaMarcus Aldridge.
