
A marquee matchup between 2 of the NBA’s best teams pitted the Washington Wizards against the Houston Rockets. It pitted 2 of the premier shooting guards in the NBA against eachother when Wizards’ Bradley Beal was put up against leading MVP candidate, James Harden. At the end of it all, Beal and Harden had similar nights, but Beal’s Wizards’ pulled out a 104-103 victory over the Rockets.
Bradley Beal scored 33 points and grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists on the night while going 10 for 10 from the free throw line. John Wall had another double-double game when he scored 13 points and dished out 12 assists and also nabbed 4 steals. Paul Pierce scored 21 points for the Wizards and Nene scored 12 while grabbing 5 rebounds on the night. Marcin Gortat had a solid night for the Wizards scoring 9 points while grabbing 7 rebounds.
James Harden matched Beal’s 33 points with 33 points of his own while grabbing 6 rebounds and handing out 4 assists. Trevor Ariza scored 15 points on the night while grabbing 5 rebounds. Dwight Howard had 13 points with 5 rebounds for the Rockets and Patrick Beverley scored 10 points on the night. The 2 newest members of the Rockets, Josh Smith and Corey Brewer, once again had differing nights. Smith only scored 3 points on 1 for 6 shooting and only grabbed 4 rebounds while Brewer came off the bench to scored 15 points for Houston.
Washington Wizards are 22-8. Houston Rockets are 21-9.
