Even though Paul Pierce bolted DC to play for Doc Rivers in LA, Bradley Beal has no hard feelings with The Truth for making the move that was best for his family. It’s hard to say anybody expected this move after the success both Pierce and the Wizards had throughout the regular season and postseason, but the deal is logical.
Beal on Pierce: “I wasn’t surprised. He’s at the end of his career. That’s where home is. You can’t really knock a guy…for doing that.”

Pierce is from Oakland, and will be much closer to home than he was during his time in Washington.
After all Pierce did for every member of the Wizards last season, any negative comments from players or fans is highly unexpected. Beal along with other Wizards would have loved to see another season coming from The Truth in Washington, but many saw this move coming in the back of their minds.
The next time the Wizards face Paul Pierce at Verizon Center, he may not have spent enough time to earn a tribute video, but he will definitely get a warm welcome from the home crowd. Beal and the rest of the team may not have any hard feelings, but that game will have a little more emotion than any other regular season game.
