Bradley Beal will sit out tonight’s game, the final one before the All Star Break, as the Wizards face the Raptors in Toronto tonight.
Beal injured his big toe against the Hawks on February 4th which forced him to leave the next day’s game early. Since then Beal hasn’t played. In total, the shooting guard has missed 11 games this season.
The Wizards, who were in the middle of a five game losing streak, have done well in Beal’s absence, blowing out the Nets and Wizards during the past five days.
“He’s got an inflamed big toe right now,” coach Randy Wittman said. “I think he’s going to get another opinion.
After tonight, the Wizards won’t return to action until February 20th, when they start the second “half” of the season at home against the Cavaliers, so Beal should get a lot of rest.
