In a halftime interview of the Wizards 117-106 win over the Toronto Raptors, Bradley Beal said the Raptors “Think we’re some punks.” Beal was obviously fired up by something as he scored 20 of his 28 points in the first half of the game. Paul Pierce must be putting his hatred towards Toronto into all of his Wizards teammates so they bring the same energy he brings to every playoff game.
Similar to the rivalry created with the Chicago Bulls last season in the first round playoff series, the Wizards seem to be making enemies with all teams they face in the playoffs. It must be something about how they play more physical and don’t play soft in moments like these where intensity will win basketball games. This is the point Bradley Beal was trying to make to the league, telling every team and played that Washington will be the tough and more physical team in every game.
