With John Wall still questionable for game 3, and his status unknown for the rest of the postseason, Bradley Beal is going to have to step up and do his part to make up for what the Wizards will be losing without Wall. Beal has to produce a little more and work for his shot even more because he won’t have Wall there getting him open looks for three-pointers.
Asked about the burden of leading the team
maybe being deferred to him, Beal said, “Oh yeah, it is. And I expect it. I think I’m comfortable with being able to handle it as well. So it’s time to mature and grow up a little bit. It’s time to put the team on my back and lead as much as I can.”
The bright side to an increaesed role for Beal is he will be able to show how valuable he is, and how much talent he has. If Wall cannot come back in the series, Beal must lead this team to work harder than they were before. It’s Beal’s turn to become DC’s hero.
