The Tom Cruise sci-fi/action flick which cost $175 million to make opened in the third place position by only pulling in $29.1 million. However, the film did top the international box office this week with $$82 million in 63 markets. ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ has received excellent reviews from critics and may still be able to recover with great word of mouth campaigns.

‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’ tumbles a few spots down the list to round out the top five earning $7.2 million this weekend.
