If you had any doubts that a third Bourne movie was happening, Bourne series producer Frank Marshall is insisting that the third movie is on the way.
His comments come after reports that Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass are in talks to reunite for a third movie together.
Marshall told The Hollywood Reporter:
The movie is moving forward. It’s still in development. We’re working to geta script as soon as possible.
He also added that the plan is to work on both projects [Damon’s version and Renner’s version] at the same time if Damon and Greengrass sign new deals.
Jeremy Renner replaced Matt Damon in the most recent Bourne film The Bourne Legacy, and is set to return in the upcoming installation.
However, reports have been circling saying if Damon returns, Renner’s second film may be put on the back burner.
The next Bourne film is scheduled for release on July 15, 2016.
