And the Draft rumors begin! I love this time of year to be honest with you, and this year seems like it’s going to be a big one. There are so many teams that are openly playing around with their pick, not every player in the Draft is a lock and that just makes this year’s NBA Draft that much juicier.
A player that is getting some positive attention recently is Willie Cauley-Stein out of Kentucky. What’s great about him is that he is one of those picks that aren’t good enough to be top 3-4 but if you get him and he turns out great, he’ll be considered a steal and I think he will use that chip on his shoulder to his advantage, similar to Nerlens Noel.
The Celtics like Cauley-Stein, they like him so much that CSN New England are reporting that they might trade up to get WCS.
Two league sources told CSNNE.com Friday that the Boston Celtics are “very open” to moving up in next month’s NBA draft.
And while the sources did not indicate which player Boston was targeting, there are growing signs that they have their sights set on trying to draft Kentucky big man Willie Cauley-Stein.
Now we’re not stupid you and I. We know that this might not happen and frankly I don’t see why they need a big. They got Olynyk and Sullinger, if anything they need a guard, preferably somebody to replace Avery Bradley who has been average since day 1, maybe Draft really high to snatch D’Angelo Russell or Emmanuel Mudiay? Just saying.
