BoJack Horseman is returning to Netflix for another season of shenanigans. Netflix announced today that the series will return for a sixth season on the streaming service. The announcement comes shortly after the news that Netflix struck a deal with Comedy Central to air reruns on the cable network.
BoJack Horseman has been a staple of Netflix’s push into the adult animation market. That push also includes shows such as F is for Family and Big Mouth, with Jake Johnson’s Hoops in development. The streaming service also released Disenchantment, a new series from The Simpsons writer Matt Groening, earlier this year.
BoJack Horseman centers on the titular character as he navigates Hollywood as the former star of a hit sitcom. The series has been praised for balancing comedy with more difficult topics such as mental illness and addiction. Will Arnett leads an impressive cast that includes Amy Sedaris, Alison Brie, and Aaron Paul.
The fifth season of the series just hit Netflix in September so don’t expect this next season for at least another year.
