With the Sacramento Kings season over for weeks now, wing Bogdan Bogdanovic is set to undergo a minor offseason knee procedure. The team announced that Bogdanovic will undergo a “minimally invasive meniscus debridement procedure” for a slightly torn left meniscus.

Bogdan Bogdanovic and his Sacramento Kings vastly underperformed this season and are still in the midst of their rebuild. Following the departure of DeMarcus Cousins which netted the Kings young pieces such as Buddy Hield, the rebuild has been on in Sactown but is yet to yield results.
Bogdanovic is a huge part of Sacramento’s next chapter of professional basketball. Along with fellow prospects De’Aaron Fox, Willie Cauley-Stein, Buddy Hield, and Justin Jackson, Bogdanovic is expected to usher in a new era for the Kings.
Even with plenty of young talent, the Kings finished 27-55, good for a lowly twelfth position in the Western Conference. Bogdanovic did show flashes of some serious potential this year in what was considered his rookie NBA season.
The 25-year-old off guard averaged 11.8 points per game in less than 29 minutes of average playing time in his 78 appearances. Though a timetable has yet to be set for his return, a minor procedure such as this shouldn’t jeopardize his availability heading into next season.
