The Charlotte Bobcats have traded for Hakim Warwick of the New Orleans Hornets giving up Matt Carroll for the athletic Warwick – who has only appeared in one-game for the Hornets this season so far. Bobcats president of basketball operations Rod Higgins said Warwick’s versatility made him an exciting prospect for the franchise this season.
“We are very excited to add a player of Hakim’s ability and overall NBA experience,” Higgins said. “His athleticism allows him to play multiple positions, which will make for a smooth transition into our current roster and style of play under coach Mike Dunlap.”
Carroll has played with Portland, San Antonio, Charlotte and Dallas in his career and has averages of 6.6 points and 1.9 rebounds with Charlotte this season.
