
Once released from prison rapper Bobby Shmurda will not join Meek Mill’s fight for criminal justice reform. While he respects Meek Mill’s efforts, Bobby Shmurda explains protesting does not work for him.
During an interview with Sirius XM’s Swaggy Sie for Hip Hop Nation released March 25, Bobby Shmurda discusses how he does not feel Meek Mill’s REFORM Alliance ushers necessary change. He respects and applauds Meek Mill’s efforts however, the Brooklyn rapper says police do not care.
“Like I tell people all the time, I respect what he’s doing,” says Bobby Shmurda, continuing “I can’t do it though. I can talk to the kids, but I ain’t about to be sitting here protesting and politicking for no muthafuc*in’ cops because them muthafuc*as don’t care.”
Although Bobby Shmurda does not plan on joining Meek Mill direct efforts, he proposes a conversation with Meek Mill. Currently going on the fourth year behind bars, Bobby Shmurda expects a 2020 release date. Watch and listen to the full interview below:
