The state of California is not new to breaking some of the best R&B acts. Through recent years, Ty Dolla $ign, Jhené Aiko and countless others have emerged and built substantial catalogs. Now, Syd, Kehlani and many others are carrying the torch. As time goes on, Blxst is inserting himself into the conversation.
The young artist out of California describes himself as “a multi-talented individual from South Central LA, who’s defining the new sound for LA.”
“I’m bringing the two-step back. I’m bringing back it’s cool to love people again, all those vibes,” he added.
Despite the setbacks created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the South Central singer has managed to continue to put out great music. With records like “My Emotions” and “Slip N’ Slide” with 1Take Jay, he has set himself apart from some of his peers. This Friday, he’s made the next step in his career by releasing a new project.
