The Blue Jays and Phillies have agreed to a trade to acquire outfielder Ben Revere from Philadelphia. Phillies insider Jim Salisbury was the first to report the news.
Sources say talks to send Ben Revere to Toronto are heating up. #phillies

The Jays have been awfully busy having already added Troy Tulowitzki and David Price earlier this week. Toronto is in a serious playoff push being only 2 games out of a wildcard spot. Revere will presumably be the new leadoff hitter after the departure of Jose Reyes. Revere, 27, is batting .298 to go along with 24 steals. Toronto will control the speedy Revere through 2018 making him more then just a rental.
We will update you when we have more information.
