It may be hard to believe, but it’s only been a bit more than year since Blocboy JB dropped the video for his Drake-assisted hit, “Look Alive.” In the days, weeks and months since dropped his hit single, the Memphis rapper has managed to stay relevant through music and influence. He’s worked with 21 Savage, G-Eazy, A$AP Rocky and many more. Not to mention, he popularized the “Shoot” dance that went everywhere from Ellen to Fortnite. Still, the Tennessee native is looking to take his musical imprint to the next level. In order to do so, he must continue his steady stream of new music.
Blocboy JB has dropped his latest project, I Am Me. He announced the project only three days ago with a simple social media post and caption that read, “Tape Dropping Friday June 14 Spread Da Word.” The project serves as the follow-up to his fall release, Don’t Think That, which featured Lil’ Uzi Vert and HoodRich Pablo Juan. I Am Me comes with thirteen tracks and features from Moneybagg Yo and Lil’ Durk. Check out the full project above and let us know what you think of Blocboy JB’s latest work.
