If anyone has come up this year, it’s definitely Blocboy JB. In a matter of year, the Memphis native has gone from relatively unknown to one of the biggest names in Hip-Hop. The Memphis rapper kicked off the year by dropping the biggest single of his young career, “Look Alive”. The record quickly picked up thanks to a feature from Drake. Shortly thereafter, the Memphis artist gained traction on his own thanks to his dance, “Shoot”. From there, everything he did or said made front page news. With a nod from XXL’s Freshman list, Blocboy JB seems to have a successful career ahead of him. Tonight, he took the first step in continuing to build that successful career.
Blocboy JB has dropped a new seven track project to keep the momentum going. His new project, Don’t Think That, features new tracks like “Makaveli” and “Club Rock”. In addition, the new project from the Memphis rapper features guest appearances from Lil’ Uzi Vert and HoodRich Pablo Juan. The project marks Blocboy JB’s second body of work to be released this year. Earlier this year, the Memphis native dropped Simi and he may have another project on the way before the end of 2018.
