The Los Angeles Clippers were getting closer to the return of their star big man Blake Griffin. Blake has been out since Christmas with a quad injury and he was expected to return to the Clippers on their current road trip.
Now it appears he won’t be coming back anytime soon with a brand new hand injury which is unrelated to his quad injury.

It’s unclear how much time this new hand injury will force him to miss, but hopefully the Clippers will update his status soon. In the meantime, Chris Paul, J.J. Redick and DeAndre Jordan will continue to pick up the slack while keeping the Clippers at 11-3 while Blake has been out.
Do the Clippers play better without Blake? No way. Griffin is one of the best bigs in the league. He’s a great passer and playmaker, he can hit long-range two-pointers and he without a doubt is one of the most athletic players in the league. Being without him hurts and the Clippers can’t compete with top talent without Blake.
UPDATE:
Blake Griffin’s broken hand was suffered when he got into an altercation with a member of the Clippers equipment staff.
