Los Angeles Clippers star forward, Blake Griffin has missed the Clippers’ previous 10 games. Griffin had a surgery that treated the staph infection Griffin had in his right elbow. The surgery has a recovery time anywhere from three to six weeks, which means that Blake Griffin could return to the Clippers as soon as next week.
ESPN.com’s Arash Markazi’s tweets suggest Blake Griffin could be back soon.
Blake Griffin could be back as early as Sunday but the following week is more likely. https://t.co/ep8jrWcbF6

After staph infections you want the surgery site to heal completely before returning. A big reason why timetable is about 4-6 weeks usually. — Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) March 3, 2015
Blake Griffin’s conditioning and cardio is back to normal and he’s expected to start shooting this week.

I’m sure the Clippers are excited to get arguably their best player back while they’re in the middle of a playoff battle in the NBA’s tough Western Conference. The Clippers play the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, but it’s ‘highly unlikely’ that Blake Griffin will be ready for that game. The Clippers currently hold the fifth seed in the West. Griffin will be back during the week the Clippers play the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Rockets. Currently the Clippers are 40-21, they’ve managed to go 7-3 while Blake Griffin was out but theres no doubt that Griffin improves this roster significantly.
Blake Griffin has appeared in 51 games this year for the Clippers. He’s averaging 22.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. Griffin is shooting .501 from the field this year as well.
