It’s going to be a long-awaited return for Clippers forward Blake Griffin, who hasn’t been in the lineup since before Christmas. The Clippers have not only been fine, but they’ve somehow even prospered in this stretch without Griffin, which sparked a myriad of trade rumors around the trade deadline.
Griffin is inching closer to his return and putting the Clippers back at full strength. An update from Dan Woike of the Orange County Register:
Per Clipper broadcast, Blake Griffin is doing “some shooting.” Griffin is out with a broken right hand.

Once Griffin is medically cleared to play in terms of his initial quadricep injury, he still faces a four-game suspension for punching a Clippers equipment manager, resulting in Griffin breaking his hand.
While there is no set timetable, the Clippers should expect to have Griffin back sometime in March. They host the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 13 before starting a five-game road trip on March 15 in San Antonio. Ideally, the Clippers will have about 15-20 games left in the regular season for Griffin to play in and regain his rhythm before the postseason.
