After being postponed, Black Widow joins Mulan, The New Mutants and Antlers as Disney films that have been pushed back. Other films like Frozen II, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Birds of Prey will enter the VOD market earlier than usual. Furthermore, Regal Cinemas and AMC Theaters have shut down their U.S. locations.
Much of the United States entertainment industry is being effected by the COVID-19 pandemic. White House officials have urged citizens to avoid gatherings of over ten people. In response, many local and state officials have banned large social gatherings. The city of New York has shut down movie theaters all together.
