
Black Panther is officially starting its award-season push.
At this year’s 22nd Annual Hollywood Film Awards, the landmark Marvel film will receive the highest honor at the event, the Hollywood film award. Ryan Coogler’s superhero movie has already garnered critical acclaim on its way to over $1.3 billion dollars worldwide.
On the animation side, The Incredibles 2 will be receiving the Hollywood animation award. Disney’s follow-up to the beloved 2004 movie wowed audiences and critics alike to the tune of $1.2 billion worldwide. Superheroes won’t be the only ones taking home an award from the ceremony, however.
Many technical categories are also represented to honor the hard-working men and women behind the scenes. A Star Is Born will be recognized for its cinematography. Neil Armstong biopic First Man will be honored for its score and editing. John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place is being awarded for its sound mixing and the costume design in The Favourite is also being recognized. Marvel will also take home awards for visual effects and production design in Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, respectively.
The Hollywood Film Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions. The ceremony will be held on November 4th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
