Billy Preston has signed a contract with a Bosnian professional team. With this move, Preston is now no longer eligible to play at Kansas after signing on to be a professional. Preston has been sitting out since the first game of the season after a one-game suspension for missing curfew and class. The next game, the Champions Classic against Kentucky Preston began his saga. He was involved in a one person car crash and reported the incident to the Kansas Athletic Department. The school decided it best to hold Preston out of competition until they could find a clearer financial picture of the car Preston was driving. Kansas continued to investigate the car and finally sent their findings to the NCAA in the last three weeks. With no clear timetable on a resolution in sight, Preston decided to leave for somewhere he could actually play.

With this decision, it now gives Kansas a clearer and final picture as to who their roster is. Before, with them waiting for a possible clearance for Preston and previously De Sousa they had no idea on who they would have. This news puts a bow on who their roster is and at the same time gives Billy Preston the ability to put out tape before this summer’s draft.
