Fresh off relieving their head coach Scott Brooks of his coaching duties, the Oklahoma City Thunder seem to already have a coach in mind that can come right in to lead their team into the future, with or without Kevin Durant.
Florida Gators head coach Billy Donovan has previously expressed his interest in returning to the NBA after a failed stint with the Orlando Magic that lasted all but 6 days. Donovan and Thunder GM Sam Presti have a prior relationship so seeing him being mentioned as a top candidate for the job isn’t all that far-fetched.

Billy Donovan ranks as natural favorite in OKC to replace deposed Scotty Brooks, who becomes instant candidate in Denver and Orlando

Doesn't mean he's made a decision but recently Billy Donovan has done background research on Kevin Durant according to sources

Donovan coming to the NBA ranks isn’t exactly what the fans of the team may want. A coach that hasn’t proved anything in the NBA coming into a team that needs a coach to lead them into the immediate winning future might not be the answer for the Thunder.
Donovan would be better suited as a coach for a younger team like the Magic if that opportunity arises. The Thunder need a coach that will be able to coach at the highest level to lead them to a championship in order to keep Kevin Durant in Oklahoma City because despite what KD says, he definitely thinks about greener pastures with better success.
